Shammeer Sultan

The eminent filmmaker had been successfully sustaining in media for a very long time. Director Shammeer Sultan from a dignified Muslim background had gone schooling to Prince Matriculation Higher Secondary School and pursued a degree from the most privileged Anna University.

The filmmaker Shammeer Sultan is from Kumbakonam and currently lives in Chennai working with his filmmaking career in the film industry thereby. Fortunately, the Director has not only achieved in filmmaking but also in Music field composed of many short films and ad films in media.

The filmmaker Shammeer Sultan is married to a Muslim woman and has welcomed one son in the family. Creating a lot of enthusiastic ideas by adding creativity to his works, the filmmaker ends up inventing a phenomenal script for his short films.

In 2012, the filmmaker Shammeer Sultan started his career by penning lyrics to an Independent Music album ‘Facebook Figural Loosaanaen’ that which grabbed the attention of social media users. In 2017, he has written and directed lyrics for Sony Music album called ‘Ranam Sugam'.

Following the music album, a Pilot short film had been written & directed by the filmmaker Shammeer Sultan, ‘Unkitta Onnu Sollanum Machan’ (Gotta tell you Something Man) in 2014 which is a Tamil short film with a unique storyline of an angry young man revealing about the largest subset of our generation showing the self-reflection of our programmed lives.

The filmmaker Shammeer Sultan also composed music for his Pilot film. Claiming to a specialized creativity within him every time, the filmmaker began to carve his skill in the film industry by creating more short films like ‘Endhirida Kaipulla’ a different genre in Tamil short films era.

This short film describes a late riser who has ignored seeing the sunrise for ages challenging self to wake up early in 2014 which had also bagged an award by This&That short film fest. Following this short film, the filmmaker written, directed & music composed for an award-winning short film ‘Naan8’ an adventurous film in 2016 aims at resolving personal issues with a Magic Mirror that has powers of cloning.

This short film bagged quite a many awards such as gold medal for best short film by Behindwoods and best music award by International music festivals for the filmmaker Shameer Sultan. Conquering the attention of producers and directors in the film industry, the filmmaker Shameer Sultan joined hands with other potential directors for a Tamil anthology film, ‘ Aviyal Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ a series of five short films combined to create a feature film produced by the Stone Bench Productions.

The filmmaker associated with Madras Photo Factory for creating ad films. As a creative head, music director, and director of the ads with Madras Photo Factory, the filmmaker finished three ads for brands including Uber Eats, TNPL, and Playinga.

The filmmaker is never found lethargic in confidence within himself; he writes novels in the meantime which got published are Neeyan Nagaram, Ranam Sugam, Munbe vaa Anbe vaa, You Stole My Song (along with another novelist Chandru).

The recent project of the well-distinguished filmmaker is a web series produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Ondraga Entertainment, ‘Weekend Machan’ starred by famous Youtubers such as Kiran Naig, Sudhakar, Shravan Ramakrishnan, Balaji Radhakrishnan, Gnanam, Nivedhitha Madhu Sathish, and Namitha.

The web series is currently running successfully with four episodes and had been receiving positive reviews for the storyline around social media. Gautham Vasudev Menon personally appreciated the Filmmaker Shameer Sultan for his previous works and had been supportive of the web series.
