Easwari Rao can easily take a credit in south Indian cinema being the new face of veteran film maker

. Easwari Rao made her debut in Raman Abdullah in Balu Mahendra;s project. She was very choosy in selecting her role and had opted out from many projects that came in her way after her break in Balu Mahendra’s flick. After this film, offers came one after one, but she neglected it as she was very choosy then.
She was also cast in Bharatiraja’s film opposite Napoleon, but the film did not take off and was shelved. Otherwise, one could find Easwari into top actresses list, as Bhartiraja always made women-oriented films and done best justice to any character in his films. She acted in many Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam movies too. She was seen in Appu as Prashant’s sister, Later on, she switched off to some TV serial projects in Sun TV, Gemini TV, Jaya TV and Vijay TV. She was a glamour girl in 1992, who had cast a brief spell in the screen with some good roles.

She won the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards as a best supporting actress for the film Virumbugiren released in 2002.
