Vijai Kaartik is an Indian actor mainly performing in Tamil movies.Vijai was born on 10 October 1975 at Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. Vijai’s birth name is J.M. Basheer. However, he is known as Vijai Kaartik.

He started off his career as a producer in the Tamil entertainment world but then he tried his hand in acting. He was very appreciated for his versatile roles. From his debut role, he got a lot of appreciation. His debut film was Karupasami Kuthgaitharar. It was directed by A. Govindamoorthy with renowned actors like Karan, Meenakshi, and Vadivelu. It was a movie in which a cycle stand contractor and mimicry artist is attracted to Rasathi (Meenakshi), but their father does not approve their relationship. It was released in the year 2007.
