Kavya Shetty is another Mangalorean actress in Sandalwood who stepped into the Kannada film industry as a passion. It could be almost like achieving a new milestone towards her passion. After finishing her engineering in computers, she took up acting and modeling as a passion and her choice, which later turned out to be a profession later. Although model Kavya Shetty came to showcase her talent as a debutante in the film “I am in Love”, she came to limelight much earlier as a contestant in 2011 Femina Miss India beauty pageant. Having been in front of the camera on the ramp, she did not find it difficult to face the arc lights at all. As a modeler, she also discovered the truth that fashion shows are just one-day affairs. However, that is not the case with movies where she can continue for months in shooting. So, she made her ambition to get into big screen and fetched good roles. Although glamour world is not a new to her, she did not get tensed facing camera with established actors at all. While studying, she took modeling and was a recognized face in model world throughout India. Although her first film was I am in Love (2012), she got another chance for a role in bi-lingual flick Shivani (Tamil and Telugu), where she played a role of journalist. Both the films got delayed in production. Shetty’s another release was Kannada film “Nam Duniya Nam Style” (2013) by . In this film, she was appreciated a lot by critics. This bubbly, pretty actress is a dream chaser in the business of cinema. She will be seen as a leading actress in ‘Vijayaditya’ opposite Dhananjay, which is a social drama-cum-fantasy film. She also has a couple of Tamil films which is under production.
