as Assistant Director in 2006. He assisted Gautham Menon in directing Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006). After that, he was announced to be starring in Menon's directed film Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikaalam, along with three other lead actors. But this movie was delayed due to ensemble cast and later canceled. He was then seen in a small role in Vaaranam Aayiram (2008).
After that came to his first movie where he was in a lead role, Nadunisi Naaygal (2011). He played a psychopath killer and did some training and learning regarding the role of psychiatrists. The movie wasn’t a hit and didn’t collect a lot of money, but he got appraisals for his acting. He was nominated for Vijay Awards for Best Debut Actor (2011) for the Nadunisi Naaygal (2011). Then he was signed by director Ram for the film Adangaamai, but the movie didn't get past pre-production. In 2015, he starred in Rajathandhiram.
