Aroul Shankar is an Indian actor who is very well known for his role in the movie Yaman. The actor works in Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu language films. Born as Aroul Djody on June 26, Aroul Shankar was born and brought up in Pondicherry. He pursued his schooling from Fatima Higher Secondary School in Pondicherry and later went to XLRI – Xavier School of Management to complete his MBA. Aroul Shankar is happily married and has a son, Kiran Shanth, and a daughter, Lakshitha. Despite having a desire to shine in the film industry, Aroul opted to work in a private company as the HR head for almost twenty-two years.
In 2010, he took the difficult decision to leave the job that paid him so well. Aroul took acting lessons from Balu Mahendra Institute of Film Technology for six months. He initially had his mind fixed on direction but soon fell in love with acting. After the course completion, Aroul Shankar's first acting project was a documentary for Animal Planet. He enacted the role of a doctor in the Australian documentary. Aroul Shankar made his Kollywood debut as a junior artist in 2010. He did over eight films as a junior artist from 2010 including, Muran, Mouna Guru, Engaeyum Eppothum, Maattrraan, and Ethir Neechal.

starrer movie Yaman. For the older part of his role Thangapandian, he put on weight and grew a beard and shed it off for the younger part.
