R Sudhakar was born on 14th February 1959, in the Panapakkam Village, Vellore District, in Tamil Nadu. In his childhood, he went to the Don Bosco Matriculation School, Egmore, Chennai. He completed his graduation from St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Madurai. He got his college degree from Loyola College, Chennai.
After a few years of his career in Advocacy, Sudhakar went on to become the permanent judge of Madras High Court on 20th April, 2007. He has also served as the Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court in the year of 2017. Currently, he is the Chief Justice of Manipur High Court.
