Vijay Chander is a “self-made” man; it is because of his hard work and determination that he has reached this place in the industry. He has struggled for over 12 years to reach this high. Vijay is the first person from his family to join the film industry. Initially, he joined the college for acting in Kollywood, but it turned out that his destiny wanted something else. He would enthusiastically attend all the guest lectures from the famous directors that happened in the college, and that is how his journey as a director began. After finishing his college, he worked as the assistant writer under famous director Nagaraj.

Eventually, everyone was very impressed by dialogues, and this is also how he got the movie “Vaalu.” “Vaalu” literally means -“active man”, and while picturing the actors for the movie, Silambarasan was the first one that came into his mind. In fact, he imagined almost everyone for their respective roles. Chander has some good relations with his co-workers whether they are actors or camera man. “Vaalu” has a set-up inspired by Vijay’s family background. His whole family has worked for the railway, and so some scenes and dialogues are inspired. He lived in a joint family, and thus he is full of values and is very attached to each member. Vijay has a long way to go in his career; this is apparently just the beginning. After such success from “Vaalu,” many doors of opportunity are opened to him.
