Dharni Rajendran was born in South India. He is a Tamil action film director and writer. He debuted with his film ‘Gananserukku.’ His most famous work includes ‘Yaathisai.’ The film is a period drama that elaborates the tension between the Einar clan and the Pandiyan Kingdom. His film ‘Gananserukku’ was considered as the best movie of 2019 by more than 40 countries ‘Film Festivals.’ He has completed his graduation in Engineering in 2012. He has also written a novel ‘Naanum En Poonaikuttigalum’ which was chosen as the best novel in the ‘Singapore literary circle.’ Dharni has also secured Ashokamithran award (2021) at Tamil Nadu arts literary community.
