Plot
Murugan is an aspiring actor and Kamalini loves Murugan. Kamalini is the daughter of an industrialist. When Kamalini’s father got a chance to see Murugan, he was totally shocked as he resembles Tamil, a guy who lived in Theni, who had been opposing to set up a copper plant by him. Tamil was killed by a local politician Kulandaivelu and the idea was by the industrialist. After seeing Murugan, Kamalini’s father hatched a new plan and he sends Murugan to Tamil’s place to set the base for the copper factory. What happened when Murugan goes to Theni? Watch the movie for the answers!
Star Performance
Vijay Sethupathi is very cool as usual and has performed well. The heroines didn't have much job to do, yet they did it well. Soori plays the comedian and travels with Vijay Sethupathi.
Analysis
The dual roles and replacing the heroes are not new to Tamil cinema. we have seen it in lots and lots of movies right from Sivaji Ganesan days. This movie is something different in certain aspects. Vijay Sethupathi hadn’t done a mass hero so far, but this time Vijay Chander made him do it. Yet, we do enjoy the one-liners of Vijay Sethupathi. The romantic portions between Vijay Sethupathi and Raashi Khanna is not a usual one. The characterization for Vijay Sethupathi is good, but not for the entire cast. The villain’s role is not strong and hence he leaves no impact. The BGM by Vivek Mervin is good.
