Sibi Naayagam was born on 24 March 1994 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is a Kollywood director and writer. His father was a passionate cinematographer, leading to his gradual inclination and preference for the film industry. He initially wished to become a research scientist and was also interested in cricket, astronomy, teaching, music and photography. He studied Engineering. His first professional experience was as a cinematographer and editor for a dance company. Initially, he tried to make a short film but he failed. However, he finally made one in 2015 and got support from his family and friends. He decided to pursue a career in film making. He got enrolled in USC School of Cinematics Art.
