R Vittal is an Indian screenwriter and film director who has worked in the Tamil cinema industry. His first film as a director was Veettukku Vandha Marumagal. Before it, he also worked as an assistant editor on films like Barkha and Bhai-Bhai. Aadu Puli Attam (1977), Thottathellam Ponnagum (1975), and Thambikku Entha Ooru are among R. Vittal's most well-known works (1984). In the majority of the films, including Kazhugu, Netri Kann, Justice Gopinath, Do Kaliyaan, Bindiya, and others, he also worked as an editor. He has established himself as a filmmaker in the Indian film industry with the films Mudisooda Mannan, and Muthana Mudhalva, among many more, such as Engalukkum Kathal Varum and Unnaithan Thambi.
