Manoj Kumar

Manoj Kumar, aka Manoharan, was born on September 23, 1955, in Allinagaram, Theni, to Mr. Veerana Thevar and Mrs. Veeramal. He is wedded to Ms. Selvi. After working as an assistant to Bharathiraja in numerous films, he made his directorial debut with Mannukkul Vairam (1986). He directed various movies in the 1990s, particularly Guru Paarvai (1998), featuring Prakash Raj Prakash Raj, born on 26th of March, 1965, as Praka >> Read More... , who earned favorable reviews. He started a film with Prakash Raj and Prabhu named Vasantha Kaalam, but the film was stalled. He then made fair allowance action movies encompassing Vaanavil (2000) and Jaisurya (2004) starring Arjun and Raajjiyam, which had Vijayakanth and Dileep in the lead roles.

He ventured into production in the mid-2000s and made the Madhavan-starrer Arya. He also started a film Utharavu with Seeman, which ultimately did not progress.
