Jeeva was an Indian director and cinematographer. He had made his contribution to the Tamil film industry. He has even been a part of Malayalam and Telugu movies and had earned a good name in the movies. In the span of his career, he is mainly known for his work with the director like Priyadarshan. He was born in Chennai. He started his career as a cinematographer in the Malayalam film industry. His first movie was Abhimanyu. The movie was an action drama and had released in 1991. The film starred superstar Mohanlal. Abhimanyu was directed by Priyadarshan. He was the most preferred cinematographer of director Shankar. The two have collaborated for many movies and have given great hits which were appreciated by the critics and the audience. Jeeva had changed his religion at the time of his wedding and converted to Islam. In 2007, he went to Russia for some work and met with acute cardiac arrest and died at the age of 43. His sudden death had shocked his family as well the industry. Many producers, directors, and people from the industry had showed their sadness and pain for his sudden demise. During the time before demise, he was working on the movie Dhaam Dhoom, which was his last movie.
