Bharath Bala is a film director, actor, screenwriter, and producer from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His real name is Ganapathy Bala and was born in 1963. His major works have been in the Kollywood film industry.Bala is well known for displaying raw emotions in his filmmaking process. His movies are well-scripted narratives of Indian stories blended with astounding visuals with a vision to make Indian stories reach an international audience. BharathBala was the producer of the patriotic album “VandeMataram” in 2017 and “Jana Gana Mana” video, which reached a large global audience.
In 2004, he directed a short film “Hari Om” and made his directorial debut. It was recognized with the New Voices Award & Best Debut Filmmaker Award at Bangkok International Film Festival, Audience Choice Award at Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles, and many more in 2005. Furthermore, he was the director of the music video for the official song of the 2010 Commonwealth Games titled “JiyoUtho Bado Jeeto”. He successfully completed his first feature film “
