Later, Jyothi Krishna made his directorial debut in a musical by A. R. Rahman titled Enakku 20 Unakku 18. Later, he released his second directorial titled “Kedi”, which had music composed by A. R. Rahman. The film was later dubbed into Tamil.

After conquering the field of writing and direction, Jyothi Krishna ventured into acting. He debuted with the film, Ooh La La La. The film was also directed by Jyothi Krishna and released on 20 April, 2012. Though the movie failed at the box office, it achieved a little appreciation by critics. In 2015, Jyothi Krishna co-produced “Vedhalam”, with his father. After his last directorial, Nee Manasu Naaku Telusu, in 2003, Jyothi Krishna will be directing after almost a decade.
