Sarah George was born in Tiruvalla, Kerala. She was raised in Bahrain and she attended the Asian School of Bahrain. She got her degree in Visual Communications at the CSI Bishop Appasamy College of Arts and Science. She completed her Post Graduation with a Master's in communication from MOP Vaishnav College of Arts and Science, Chennai. When director Ram of the popular thangameengal film invited Sarah to play a role in Taramani, she was employed as a publicist in Chennai.
The film was a success and won several prizes at the international film awards.
