Rasna got a chance to enter cine industry while she was studying class six. Her parents are very supportive of her career growth and always used to take her on various auditions across the state. Rasna got a recommendation by director
which paved her way to the serial 'Ammakkay' which was aired by Asianet. Rasna got fame and applause from her performance on serial 'Parijatham', where she did a double-role character of Aruna and Seema. This story of twin sisters made Rasna to receive Asianet TV Award 2011 for best actress. She got this best actress award while studying in Grade 12.
'Parijatham' was a huge success on Malayalam TV serials and further this serial was remade in languages Tamil and Kannada. Rasna too acted as lead roles with the new name for twin sisters as Arundhadhi and Aradhi.
