Bindu Rajesh

Bindu Rajesh is a popular theater and TV artist. Bindu was born and brought up in Trivandrum, Kerala. Bindu has a brother. Bindu’s parents were very supportive and encouraged her to carry on her acting career. Initially, she played in theatrical plays and then in TV serials. She had also done supporting roles in a few movies. Besides being an actress, Bindu is a good dancer.  In one of her interviews, Bindu stated that she would have stayed as a theater artist if she hadn’t entered the TV industry. Most of the roles Bindu accepted are antagonist roles. Bindu’s favorite role is Shoba in Vadhu, where she played one of the main antagonists. In that series, she blackmails Hema, played by Praveena, to reveal her past life to Hema's husband. In Marutheeram Thedi, she plays Vasundhara, mother of Nayomi, played by Preetha. This serial is a re-entry for her, stated Bindu, as she had not played any serials for three years before Marutheeram Thedi. After her daughter turned three, Bindu returned to her profession.

Bindu has three drama troupes, Akshara, Avanthika and Rangakala. After seeing one of her performances in a program by Avanthika, she got the opportunity to play in Marutheeram Thedi, stated Bindu.  Bindu is married to Rajesh and has two kids, a son and a daughter. Bindu feels that her character in the serial Sahayathrika resembles that of her original character. She played the mother to Shafna. Although she is satisfied with the negative characters, Bindu wants to do sentimental roles.
