Mridula Warrier is a female playback singer in south Indian movies. She has her origin from Kerala. She was born to P.V. Ramankutty Warrier and M.T. Vijayalakshmy on 3rd May 1988 in Kozhikode, Kerala. She used to participate in numerous television musical concerts since her childhood days. In 2004, she first participated in a musical reality show contest ‘Saptaswarangal, ‘aired on Asianet, and was unanimously selected as the first runner-up. In 2005, she again took part in another musical contest Onnam Raagam, aired on Doordarshan, and won the first prize. In 2010, she won the first runner-up title in ‘Idea Star Singer Season-5’.
In 2007, she made her debut as a playback singer in film ‘
’ (2007). She sang the number ‘Oru Vakkum Mindathey’ for the composer Alphonse Joseph. This song was sung by music composer Alphonse Joseph with Mridula. In 2007, she even sang a song ‘Oh Maariya’ for the film ‘
’ for the composer Vidyasagar. After that, she had recorded multiple songs for Tamil and Kannada films. In 2012, she sang the popular number ‘’O! Marimayan" featuring male singer Krishnachandran for the film ‘Ivan Megharoopan’. The song was composed by music composer Sharreth. In the same year, under the composition of M. Jayachandran, she sang another duet with singer Haricharan for the film ‘916’. The number from this film ‘Chenthamara Theno’ had also become popular.
