Siddique is an Indian film screenwriter/director and mainly works in Malayalam cinema. He made his acting debut as an assistant director to Fazil. The duo of Siddique & Lal grabbed the attention of Fazil when he saw them performing in the Cochin Kalabhavan troupe.

He later teamed up with Lal to make many movies and was credited as Siddique-Lal. The duo split up, but Siddique has continued with his directorial jobs, while Lal has t started acting and producing. Siddique's movies are mainly in the comedy genre.

Kannan Thamarakkulam is a popular Malayalam director, who hailed from Thamarakkulam in Kerala. Kannan is from a non-cinema family background, who strived hard to reach this place. Initially, Kannan aspired to be an actor. Later, he joined the cinema industry as an assistant director. He has worked as an assistant and associate in a lot of TV serials and movies. In his initial stages, he had worked with popular Malayalam directors including “I V Sasi,” Sajan, Mohan Kupleri and M. Naseer. He made his first solo debut as a director in a TV Series, titled, “Minnaram.” Minnaram is a serial about twin sisters Revathy and Parvathy. “Praveena” is the lead in the story, who played a dual role and Suresh Krishna pairs her. After Minnaram, Kannan directed hit serials like Mithunam, Ammathottil and Akkara Ikkara. He made his debut in Tamil serials with “Maharani” in 2009. This serial is the remake of Ente Manasa Puthri, a super hit Malayalam serial telecasted in Asianet. Maharani was also a super hit serial with Praveena, Sujitha, Archana Suseelan, Murali Mohan and Sulakshana. After working in Maharani, Kannan made his debut in silver screen with “Sooraiyadal.” The film featured Sri Balaji, Leema Babu and Gayathri in the lead roles. Although the film didn't make a hit, Kannan didn’t lose his confidence. He provided the technical support to the Tamil film, Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe directed by Lakshmy Ramakrishnan. In 2015, he made his first Malayalam film, Thinkal Mudhal Velli Vare, a comedy film with “Jayaram,” Rimi Tomy, Anoop Menon and Rachana Narayanankutty. The film was a hit film and in 2016, Kannan made his second film in Malayalam again with Jayaram. He directed “Aadupuliyattam” with Jayaram, Ramya Krishnan and Om Puri in the lead role. The horror genre received good response from the audiences and the critics. It is also dubbed in Tamil as Shenbaga Kottai and in Telugu as Mathangi. For the third time, Kannan Thamarakulam joined with Jayaram in “Achayans.” The film also has Unni Mukundan, Sshivada Nair and Anu Sithara. It is a comedy thriller. Aspired to become an actor, Kannan became a director. Although his parents didn’t want him to work in the cinema, they changed their mind for their only son and had been supporting him. Kannan has an elder sister, who is married and blessed with two kids.
