Vani Viswanath is an Indian film actress from Kerala active in Malayalam film industry. She became popular for her action roles in Malayalam  movies in 1990s, but has done many lead roles and character roles  since then. She has bagged the second Best Actress Award of Kerala State once in her career. She is married to Malayalam actor Baburaj.
Vani Viswanath hails from Thrissur. She was born in 1971 to Viswanadhan and Girija. Her acting debut was in movie Mangalayacharthu as heroine with actor Shafeeq in 1987.Even though this movie was not a big success, it opened the way for Vani to get into the South Indian film industry. She was also casted in an important role in Malayalam thriller movie Evidence directed by actor Raghavan in 1988. Vani Viswanath did two dozen movies in Telugu from 1989 to 1993 with leading actors and she had huge fan following in Telugu Industry in those periods. Her Tollywood movie Gharana Mogudu in 1992 with Tollywood superstar Chiranjeevi was a huge hit. She has also done few Tamil and Kannada movies early in her career.
In Malayalam, her major break-through movie was Siddique-Lal’s Mannar Mathayi Speaking in 1995. Her role of Meera/Stella-Fernandez was highly appreciated. Following this in the same year she played the role of Anura Mukharji IAS in director Shaji Kailas’s super hit movie The King, along with Mega star Mammootty. This movie got her the label “the action queen” of Malayalam movie.She did the title character in the movie Susanna directed by T V Chandran in 2000. In the movie Susanna is a prostitute with a strange relationship with five elderly men. Vani played this role to perfection and is considered her best movie in her career. She won the second Kerala state best actress award for this role. She has done quite many Malayalam movies like Black Dalia, Chinthamani Kolacase, Balram Vs Tharadas, Mangalam Veettil Manaseswari Gupta, Ustaad etc. Her latest Malayalam movie was Uppukandam Brothers Back in Action (2011) and she has given her voice in movie Mannar Mathayi Speaking 2 (2014). Vani is also making a comeback in an action role in Tamil movie Aananda Thollai with powerstar Srinivasan. Vani has done only one teleserial named Mattoruval, telecasted in Surya TV, in which she played the protagonist Annie. She is currently doing a Tamil tv serial Katrenile Varum Geetham and a Telugu movie on Meera Bai.
 In personal life, Vani is married to her co-artist Baburaj since 2002. Baburaj was popular for his villain roles and was seen  lately performing comedy roles in Malayalam movies, after his success as comedian in the movie Salt N Pepper in 2011.The couple have 2 children Aarcha and Adrith.

Swasika Vijay is a budding Malayalam actress. She has acted in the serial Dathuputhri which started to air on 2015. She played the lead role in the serial and it was challenging for her since she had to portray two different roles. She won the hearts of the Malayali audiences through that serial. She garnered the best new face award in the function of Drithya TV awards 2015. She hails from Ernakulam district of Kerala. Her parents are Vijayakumar and Girija Vijay. Her brother’s name is Akshay who has done his plus two education . As soon as Swastika completed her schooling she did her B A Literature. Currently she is managing a dance school named Navarasa School of classical dance. She has got training in classical dance since she was very young. She also showed her dancing ability in her school programs. Swastika also tested waters in Tamil films. Vaigai is her debut flick in Tamil. She had taken up the role of a village girl in most of her Tamil flicks. She had also worked in the Tamil movie Goripalayam.  Later she did character roles in flicks such as Ayalum Nhanum Thammil that had the young sensation Prithviraj in the main role. She had gained the Kalathilagam title during the year 2006. She had also done her BA in Bharathanatyam. She had told in an interview that her mother is her biggest support. She has great interest towards acting and dancing. In fact, she has 16 years of vast experience in dancing.  Another Vesion: Swasika, who was born with the name Pooja, is a Tamil and Malayalam film actress who hails from Kerala. She is mostly seen portraying the character of a ‘village beauty’ in her Tamil films and started her career in 2009 with the movie Vaigai, in which her character was inspired by a real individual. While still a student, she did her second film Goripalayam as the second lead. Her first big hit was her third film Maithanam, which earned her recognition and appreciation both from the audience as well as the critics. She made her debut in Malayalam film industry with the movie Cinema Company, which was a romantic comedy about four friends. She did many other films in Malayalam, namely, Banking Hours 10 to 4 in which she played the role of Anjana Shekhar, Prabhuvinte Makkal, which was a film based on atheism in which she played the lead role as the protagonist’s fiancée. In Telugu, her first film was Etu Chusina Nuvve. In the 2014 Tamil film Panduvam, which was a thriller movie; Swasika played a modern role of a psychiatrist. She has also played a host to show on Jeevan TV and currently plays the lead in Dhathuputari, a TV serial that airs on Mazhavil Manorama. Her new sitcom, My Marumakan has also started airing on Jaya TV. She has also appeared in a few advertisements.


Vinduja Menon

Vinduja Menon is a former Malayalam cine actress and dancer from Kerala. She was active in Malayalam movies during 1985-1999. She is now more active in teaching and performing classical dance. Vinduja was born in Trivandrum to K.P. Vishwanathan Menon and Kalamandalam Vimala Menon. Vinduja’s mother, Kalamandalam Vimala Menon is a renowned dancer and Mohiniyattam exponent. As a child, Vinduja got training  in Indian classical dance from her mother and also received training in classical music. She participated in dance competitions right from her school days and won many prizes for both dance and music. She was “Kalathilakam” in Kerala State school youth festival in 1991 and the first artist from Trivandrum to have this honor. She studied at NSS college for Women at Karaman, Trivandrum. Dance continued to be passion and priority for Vinduja till now. Vinduja entered Malayalam film field as a child artist in Priyadarshan’s movie Onnanam Kunnil Oradi Kunnil, in which Mohanlal and Shankar played the lead roles, in 1985. Following this she did supporting  roles in Padmarajan’s Nombarathi Poovu (1987) and Njan Gandharvan (1991). In 1994 she played the role of Mohanlal’s sister in two movies, Pingami and Pavithram, directed by Sathyan Anthikkad and TK Rajeev Kumar. Her role in Pavithram as Meenakshi, sister 30 year younger to Unnikrishnan (Mohanlal), is the most recognized of all the roles that Vinduja played in her career. She was heroine in movies Bheeshmaachaarya (1994) and Kanchanam (1996) opposite to Manoj K Jayan. Vinduja’s last movie was Devadasi in 1999. After her career in films Vinduja started doing TV serials starting with Sthree in Asianet since 1998. She played a notable character in that serial alongside Vinaya Prasad. Vinduja was also a part of Vayalar Madhavan Kutty’s celebrated serial, Jwalayayi which was produced by Megastar Mammootty and broadcasted in Doordarshan Malayalam in  2000-2002 over 500 episodes. Her latest serial was in Kathayariyathe which was broadcasted in Surya TV and concluded in February 2014. Vinduja played a mature role of a Thresya, the protagonist. She has also done other serials like Sneham and Ishtamaayi on Asianet and  Sassneham in Amrita TV. Apart from being an actress and dancer Vinduja has done some play back singing, like the female version of the song Kaavum Kovilakavum ,from the movie Aabharanachaarthu (2002), written by Bichu Thirumalai and music by MG Radhakrishnan and Kamalappoovu Neeyalle  from Raajamudra (2008), a dubbed Telugu movie starring Rishi and Gopika. Vinduja was also appeared as celebrity judge in kids reality show, Munch Star Singer Junior, on Asianet and as main judge and groomer in the dance reality show, Dance Party, on Kairali TV. In personal life, Vinduja is married to Mr. Rajesh Kumar and the couple has one daughter, Neha. At present Vinduja and her family are settled in Malaysia, where she is running a dance school for young aspirants. Vinduja is also a part-time teacher in her mother’s dance school, Kerala Natya Academy,at Thiruvanathapuram. Vinduja is now fully concentrating on her dance shows, for which she travels to India and other parts of the world.
