Meera Vasudevan was associated with modeling before venturing into the film industry. Hailing from Mumbai in a Tamil Brahmin family, Meera is proficient in Tamil, Hindi, English and Malayalam. Born on 29 January 1982, Meera holds a degree in Psychology and English Literature. Her younger sister, Ashwini, has also had a brief stint as a child artist.

. The film fetched her the Tamil Nadu State Film Special Award for Best Actress. After a couple of misfires in Tamil and Telugu, Meera entered the Malayalam film industry with the film Thanmathra in which she shared screen space with Mohanlal. She garnered the Best New Face of the year, given by Asianet. Meera has over two dozen films to her credit.Â

Meera was wedded to Vishal Agarwal in 2005, but they eventually parted ways in 2010. Later she got wedded to Malayalam star Anish John Kokken. This couple is blessed with a son. Meera feels that glamour has its limit and one should not cross it. Meera has no qualms for her first broken marriage, as she confesses. She is very happy that her second marriage is good.
