Born on 4th November 1965, Milind Soman is a supermodel of India. He is also involved in acting and production. Having born in Scotland, he stayed in England till his seventh year. Later, he came to India with his family. He was a swimmer and represented India at national level. This helped him to become a model.

During 1995, Milind Soman was seen in the music album Made in India alongside . This was one of the best acts of his career. After working as a model for some time he was the lead artiste in Caption Vyom, an Indian TV series. Then, with effect from 2000 he concentrated on films. The films in which he acted were Pachaikili Muthucharam, Paiyaa, Agnivarsha, Ashoka, , Rules- Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula, etc. Apart from Indian films Soman also acted in foreign language films.

Soman produced the film Rules-Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula. The television serial Ghost Bana Dost was under his banner. During 2012 Soman acted in which failed at the box office. Soman holds the Limca record for participating in a marathon of 1500 kms in just 30 days. He also organized the “Women’s only” running. This was set up in order to promote health awareness for women.

Soman is an excellent sportsman. He is the proud winner of National Swimming Championship for four years. He stirred a controversy with his ex- girlfriend by posing nude. In fact the police filed a case against the distributors and publishers for this act. The case prolonged for 14 years and finally the acquitted were set free.

Milind was one of the models in India who holds a special place in the hearts of fans. But as much as he was appreciated as a model his stint as an actor didn’t create that much ripples. This may be attributed to the reason that he didn’t believe only in commercial movies; he even tried offbeat roles.
