Besides acting, Baby Niranjana has worked in various Television commercials too. Baby Niranjana was born as the offspring of Monisha M Premji and Premji Mathamangalam in the village Payyannur in Kannur. Her dad Premji is a school principal, while her mother Monisha is a lecturer in the A L P S School in Parakkadavu.

Niranjana began her career in acting, as a child actress in the serial Manjurukum Kalam, which was aired on Mazhavil Manorama. She provided life to Janaki A.K Janikutty, the primary character in the show. Her screen appearance, innocent face, cute expressions, and talent in acting made her famous among the Malayali audience. The show was based on the 1992 Malayalam movie named Movie Malootty. The movie was known for the performance of Malootty by Baby Shamili. Malootty serial was directed by S.S Lal.
