Mahashweta, officially named as K Mahashweta, is an emerging South Indian child actress majorly known for her award-winning short films. She was born in 2010 in Angeripalayam, Tirupur, Tamil Nadu, in a very nurturing family. Her father, Mr. P.U. Krishnan had been most compassionate in fulfilling his daughter’s dream and leading her to follow her passion. He is a film producer and has produced some of her short films in which she has acted. She is pursuing her secondary education at MGV Global Academy, Tirupur. She made her first debut in cinema when she was just nine years old.
She is passionate about acting and delivers great social messages through her works. She has acted in several Malayalam short films and won International awards for two of them. In 2019, Mahashweta won the “Best Child Actress” award at the Los Angeles Film Awards for impressive her role as Miya in the short film “Aarodu Paruyum” (To Whom Should I Tell?). Again in 2020, she won the “Best Child Actress” award at the Las Vegas Movie Awards for her performance in the short film “Grandma Toy”. She is a very zealous child with great moral pursuits aiming for the betterment of society.
