Pooja Mohanraj

Pooja is an actress and theatre artist in the entertainment industry. She belongs to Pondicherry, India. Her father’s name is K mohanraj, who is a mechanical engineer and her mother’s name is Usha mohanraj. She also has a sister named Kavitha Nambiar. She completed her schooling at the school in Pondicherry. Her family moved to Kerala, where she studied at Bhavan Adarsha Vidyalaya, Ernakulam. Pooja started her career in theatre since the age of ten years and attended children theatre class by Professor Chandradasan’s theatre group, Lokadharmi.

She has also given performances in many Indian and international festivals. Pooja also completed her graduation degree in economics honours at lady shri ram College for women, Delhi. She has also obtained her master's degree in Theatre Arts from school of drama and fine arts, university of Calcutta. Pooja also completed her professional Diploma in intercultural theatre from intercultural theatre institute, Singapore. She has also been skilled in eastern traditional forms and contemporary western techniques.

Pooja has also produced many plays such as “Egle,” “Cleopatra,” “When We Dead Awaken,” “Balcony,” which have been featured in many popular film festivals such as “Bharat Rang Mahotsav,” “International theatre festival of Kerala,” and “META Festival.” She also received scholarship of young artistes of ministry of culture, government of India for training in the field of theatre. She also organised several editions of international festival of Kerala, facilities theatre in education in schools and colleges in Kerala and developed training modules for actors and non-actors interested in all types of performances using a specific technique.

Pooja also acted in various films such as “Neelavelicham,” in which she plays the role of Latha.
