She got married when she completed her first TV serial. She was 21 years old when she tied her knot with Vinod Gowda. Although her family supported her decision to act in serials after marriage, people from her in-laws side were reluctant to her willingness to act in movies. However, in the end, her husband acknowledged her determination and allowed her to act in movies only with a condition that she had to lay before filmmakers she would not expose at any cost.

Her father-in-law has been her supportive to her decision of joining films. It was after her marriage that she continued in her studies too and completed her degree in biotechnology.
