Yagna Shetty

Yagna Shetty, an Indian film actress, was born in a place called Kudremukh, at Karnataka to UmeshShetty and Jayanti Shetty. She completed her schooling from Kendriya , at Panambur, and did herunder graduation in Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) from SDM collegeat Managalore, and later she also pursued MBA in Finance from Manipal University.

Yagna did her debut film (‘OnduPreethiyaKathe’) in 2007 in Hindi due to her non-fluency in Kannada, but still she was able to get the role. After a gap of an year, in 2009,she appeared in two films back-to-back namely‘EddeluManjunatha’ and ‘Love Guru’.

In 2011 , she had three consecutive releases:’ Panchamrutha’, ‘Allide Nammane Ille Bande Summane’, and’ Kalla Malla Sulla’, all of which received positive reviews.2014 was not a successful year for Yagna. Her next movie ‘ Ulidavaru Kandanthe Click to look into! >> Read More... ’ was a critical success but didn’t do well commercially. Her final release ‘Sadagara’ got mixed reviews.

Despite of her ups and downs, Yagna got the Filmfare South Special Award for her movie ‘EddeluManjunatha’ and even got nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress Kannada for her film ‘Love Guru’.
