Akanksha

Aakanksha is an Indian actress-model who has worked in Telugu and Kannada movies. Before entering into movies, Aakanksha was a very successful model and had won many crowns. The actress/model is from Dubai. Aakanksha started her modeling career in 2008 and participated in Femina Miss India which is organized by Femina magazine and Pantaloons India. Later in the same year, she participated in the Vogue India and won the Miss Beautiful eyes and Sony My Miss India sub-titles. Aakanksha debuted in 2011 with a Kannada movie Olave Mandara, which was directed by Jayatheertha. The actress played the lead role alongside actor Srikanth. The movie is a travel based film from Bangalore to Assam. The movie serves a great experience for the audience to sit back and witness the beauty of the movie.

Aakanksha in the movie plays the role of an Assamese girl. Aakanksha won the Best Female Debutant (Kannada) at the 1st SIIMA Awards for this movie. The actress was again seen in the Kannada movie Edegarike in a supporting role. Edegarike was a story based on true life events and the book of Journalist Agni Sridhar. The plot of the movie revolved around the Indian mafia in the mid-2000s in the areas of Mumbai and Bangalore, which used to be headed by a leader in Dubai. Edegarike had all elements of crime, underworld, friendship, tragedy, bravery. The movie was very appreciated by the audience and the critics. Currently, the actress is shooting for Manase Mandaram a Telugu movie which is to be set on the floors by the mid of 2016.
