Chaitra Chandranath

Chaitra Chandranath is an Indian model-turned-actress. She works mainly in Kannada movies or Sandalwood industry. She entered the Kannada film industry in her teenage years. Chaitra was chosen as a lead actress in the movie, Viraat, directed by H. Vasu.

The film was supposed to release in the year 2012 but as ill luck would have it the release date got delayed because of some internal clashes between the director and producer. Chaitra started off her acting career with the movie, DK (2015). According to her, she had to undergo a lot of difficulties with her debut film, Viraat. It got so bad that she almost decided to quit acting. But then she was approached by the director Vijay Hampali to act in his film, DK. Initially, she was reluctant to accept the offer but then agreed when Prem and Vijay Hampali both tried to persuade her.

Chaitra played the role of Subbulakshmi in the movie. This particular film was not appreciated by the audience . When she was asked about her role in the movie, she says playing the character of Subbulakshmi was not very tough because it was pretty much like her only. This is exactly how she behaves in real life. Her film, Viraat, released in 2016 and didn’t garner a good response from the viewers. She is a newcomer in the sandalwood industry and will have to work hard to prove her talent.
