Prashanth Neel is an Indian filmmaker who works in Sandalwood industry. He made his directorial venture through the movie Ugramm, which became a commercial hit and gave him name and fame. Ugramm gave a new dimension to movie making in Sandalwood. It is also learnt that the Tamil and Telugu rights of Ugramm was sold for a big sum.

Neel has completed a course in direction and gradually developed much interest in it. After completing the course, he chose to cast actor Srimurali, who is his brother- in- law in Aa Hudugi Neene. But due to Srimurali's disinterest to join hands with Neel in this project, he rejected Neels proposal. As a result, Neel came with an action project Ugramm. This movie unexpectedly turned out to be a huge hit commercially and became a successful movie in the year 2014. \

His upcoming projects are KGF, Ugramm Veeram and Aahvana. The shooting of the movie KGF is under progress. It has Rocking Star Yash as the lead. Prashant Raj is a screenwriter and director, who predominantly works in Kannada movies. He was born on March 10th 1982. His debut movie was Love Guru which got released in the year 2009. Prashanth Raj before entering into Sandalwood films, he been an assistant director for the Bollywood movie "Raaz". Following this, he worked in films like Shootout at Lokhandwala, Deewane Huye Paagal and Kisna. His next Kannada film as a director was Gaana Bajaana, which was released in the year 2010. After a gap of two years, in the year 2013, he directed another movie titled "Whistle". Again with a gap of two years, he directed the movie "Zoom" in the year 2016, which became a blockbuster hit at box- office. This film completed successfully 150 days all over Karnataka. Prashant Raj is currently working on his current project titled "Dhalapathi". The lead stars in this movie are Kriti Kharbanda and Prem Kumar. Prashanth Raj was nominated for Filmfare Awards South in the category of Best Director. Coming to his personal life, he is married to Vandana in the year 2011 and has two sons. He also worked as a playback singer for the movie Whistle and worked as a Dialogue writer and lyrics writer for the movie Love Guru. He gained knowledge of filmmaking at Subhash Ghai's institute in Mumbai. He resided at Mumbai for six years and worked as assistant director in few Bollywood movies. Later, he came to know that his interest was in Sandalwood movies and came to Karnataka. After endeavoring into Sandalwood, he decided not to start off with the role of Assistant Director again. Having this in mind, he further decided to become a director and met his parents and narrated about the script and requested them to produce the movie for him. But his parents initially said no, but after compulsion from Prashanth Raj, his parents accepted and produced the movie "Love Guru" for him. That is how he began his career as film director in Sandalwood. This movie was dubbed in other languages after its blockbuster hit in Kannada. Following the success of this movie, Prashant raj had once again teamed up with the same crew including the lead actors and made the second movie “Gaana Bajana”. Though he is a person who is strictly against remake movies, he remade the Tamil movie Pizza in Kannada with the title “Whistle”. He had a dream to work with most happening actor Ganesh and finally made a movie with him titled “Zoom”. This movie gave him name and fame.
