Madan Ram Venkatesh

Madan Ram Venkatesh is a director, who has worked extensively in the Kannada film industry. He has directed several commercials and short films. Madan pursued his Post Graduate degree in the field of Communications and Multimedia from the University of Mysore. His interests in film making took him to many of India’s largest studios such as Endemol Shine India, Viacom 18, and Sony Pictures. His work in electronic media has ranged across radios, documentaries, corporate commercials, and shorts. Madan began his professional career in 2013 as the Creative Producer of the sensational reality television show, ‘Big Boss Kannada.’

He went on direct many short films, the first of which was called ‘U-turn.’ His other works, ‘The Last Kannadiga’ and ‘ABC’ received wide critical acclaim for their heartfelt storylines and were the recipient of many awards. Madan was nominated for the ‘Best Short Film Director’ at the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA).-2018 for his short film, ‘Ondu Strong Coffee.’ He has also been a part of many television shows and has been the co-director of the Amazon Prime feature film, ‘Law (2020).’
