Prayag Mukundan is an Indian cinematographer who is primarily associated in Kannada film industry. He has also been a cinematographer for Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi cinema. He was born on 24 September 1991 in Kuttiyatoor, Kannur, Kerala, to M V Mukundan and Prasanna M M, and went to I.M.N.S.G.H.S.S, Mayyil. He studied at I-MET VFX and, Animation Film School, and Neo Film School, Kochi. He was mentored under the VFX Director Biju Dhanapalan and cinematographers such as such as C.K. Prayag Mukundan has done cinematography for various short films and research projects for IIT Bombay. His debut feature as a director of photography is called Emergency Exit titled as Thurthu Nirgamana in Kannada. He is also active in making and experimenting with pinhole cameras. He has also won the Kedamangalam Sanadanan Memorial award for the best cinematographer in 2013. He spends his free time Sculpting and painting.
