Rahul PK

Rahul PK works in Kannada movies as an associate or assistant director. He has so far handled three movie projects namely, 'Ricky (2016), 'The Plan’(2016) and ‘Ulidavaru Kandant' (2014). He assisted Rakshit Shetty, Rishab Shetty, and Keerthi.

Raul PK chose the crime thriller genre for his directorial concept, which is indeed a challenging task for any newcomer. For the movie Ulidavaru Kandante', Rahul PK was an associate director along with Shashi Kumar, Hayanth Seege, and Rishab Shetty. For the movie, 'The Plan' Rahul PK was the first assistant director while his colleagues like Karthik Iyer was a chief assistant director and Micheal James was the second assistant director. And finally, for the movie, 'Ricky,' Rahul PK was the associated director along with Kiranraj K and Shashi Kumar.

The film ‘Ulidavaru Kandante' (2014) was directed by Rakshit Shetty. It was a Kannada neo-noir crime drama anthology film, written and directed by debutant Rakshit Shetty. The film premiered at Cannes Film Festival and was positively acclaimed for its direction and acting by Rakshit Shetty. The film was made in Tamil starring Nivin Pauly as Richie. It was a brilliant movie and had several positive reviews. For It was the first Kannada movie to be shot entirely in sync sound technology.

Rakshit Shetty won the best director and music composer award, and B. Ajaneesh Lokanath won the Karnataka state film awards for this movie. In the year 2016, he assisted director Rishab Shetty for movie ‘Ricky’ who shared in his earlier movie ‘Ulidavaru Kandante' and was the co-director with him. Rakshit Shetty directed the film.

Rishab Shetty made his debut as a director with the movie ‘Ricky.’ Rishab has a theatre background and a diploma from the Government Film and TV Institute in Bangalore in film direction. Hence, the movie ‘Ricky’ was again Rahul P K’s association with a known actor in his earlier movie.
