Shankar Rao

Shankar Rao (1936/7) was an Indian film and television actor who was known for his comic roles. Shankar Rao was a really cool actor from Karnataka .He did not belong to any rich family but he has a passion for acting. From a childhood, Shankar loved acting.But here's the twist – he didn't have any famous relatives or connections in the movie world. He had to work really hard to get noticed. Shankar Rao moved to the city, Bangalore, where all the movie action was happening in Karnataka.

He faced tons of rejections.Finally, after a long struggle, he got a small role in a Kannada movie.That was the beginning of his journey into the world of movies. He attended acting classes and learned from experienced actors. He put his heart and soul into every role he played, and it showed. He founded his own theatre group known as "Kalakshetra". He made his film debut with the movie "Yaara Shakasi".Some of his famous films include Dhurva (2002), Uppi Dada MBBS(2006),Milana(2007) Appu,Vamsi(2008) and Sidlingu(2012).

As the years rolled on, Shankar Rao won lots of awards and got tons of praise for his acting. Shankar Rao's name will forever be remembered as a superstar, a mentor, and a kind-hearted soul who made it big in the world of movies. His story reminds us that no matter where you start in life, with hard work and determination, you can reach for the stars. Kannad actor Shankar Rao passes away due to age - related issues on 18 October 2021.
