Abhishek Rao is popularly known as Ranna. He works in the Kannada film industry. Ranna was born on 15 October 1989 in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He has a filmy family background - his mother - Actress Mamatha Rao; his sister - a Kannada actress with producer Rakshita and his brother-in-law, filmmaker Prem. Abhishek did engineering, but he wants to become an actor. He went to New York's Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute to learn acting skills for one year. He also learned to fight and dance sequences. Ranna's journey has been started in 2015. He worked as Assistant Director with his brother-in-law in making the film "The Villian."
