Sachin Bhowmick was born in West Bengal on 17th July 1930. He is a film director and is also a screenwriter and has written over 94 films. He is an excellent writer and also wrote for a Bengali magazine which wrote articles for the industry.
Sachin started his career in 1958 with writing the screenplay for ‘
’ starred ‘Lajwanti’. He continued his work for movies like An Evening in Paris, Love in Tokyo, ‘Caravan’, ‘Dost’, ‘
’, Andar Bahar, ‘
’, and ‘Saheb’, etc. Sachin wrote the story of “
Main Khiladi Tu Anari
”. The plot is about a police officer who is murdered by a drug dealer and his brother is set to avenge his death. He finds out about two eyewitnesses who are ready to testify against the dealer. With the whole story going on, an actor starts to live with the officer for method acting and eventually helps him uncover the truth.
He wrote the screenplay of ‘
’ which released in 1995; the story is about a royal family whose bloodline is destroyed so that their uncle can inherit the throne. They both (the brothers) are reborn in different families and have no memory of their past life. They accompany their mother to avenge their father’s death and to inherit their rightful throne which belongs to them. The flick grossed $8 million worldwide, and the critics appreciated the performance of all the actors and actresses, the audience loved the film and appreciated it.

In 1997, he again worked with Rakesh Roshan for ‘
’, which is about a loyal slave of a powerful king who wants to marry a young village girl; the girl wants to know who is she getting married to, so the King sends the photo of Koyla and marries her falsely. Koyla finds out about this and helps the girl escape and finally falls in love with her. The film did good business at the theaters and also received great response from the audience.
