His strong Desi look and bad guy attitude helped him a lot in being casted in many TV series, such as  Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani (18 October 2010 – 15 December 2011), which aired on Star One. The TV serial is about the illegal love between a vampire and a human. Suyyash Rai also met the love of his life (his girlfriend) on the sets of this TV show for the first time. The couple has been together from three years and also celebrated their third anniversary in Mount Mary Church in Bandra. In an interview when Suyyash Rai was asked about the moon of his life, he said that he likes her because she helped him a lot in becoming a better human being, she taught him to work hard and never to give no as an answer. In the interview the couple also admitted that their fans might hear big news about their relationship soon.

Suyyash Rai was also casted in a TV show named Kya Huaa Tera Vaada (30 January 2012 – 23 May 2013), aired on Sony Entertainment Television.

In his extra time Suyyash’s preferences are to sing. In an interview he said that singing is the career he will like to pursue along with acting, as being a singer is what he wanted to be when he was a kid.

Sushil Bounthiyal, a very promising new actor, has graduated from the National School of Drama in 2002, specializing in dialect. After passing, he started acting in theatre in Delhi. Later, he moved to Mumbai to try his luck on films. He has gained popularity after acting in the TV Serial ‘Phulwa’ which was telecasted on Colors Channel. His powerful performance in this show, as Phulwa’s father, will be remembered for a long time. He has also acted in ‘Gustakh Dil’ aired on Life OK. He will soon be seen in Zee TV’s ‘Zilla Chhapra’. He has recently made his appearance in big screen through the movie ‘Gulaab Gang’ where his co-stars were legendary actresses Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla. In this film, he played the role of Juhi Chawla’s secretary who supports all her notorious works. He had to struggle a lot at the beginning of his career as an actor. He acted in films ‘Billu Barber’ directed by Priyadarshan, ‘Aagey Se Right’directed by Indrajit Nattoji and ‘Lamhaa’ directed by Rahul Dholakia; unfortunately, his roles were cropped off from all these films. Survival became a challenge for him as he was not being lucky enough. He started acting in Nadira Babbar’s theatre group named ‘Ekjute’. He also took acting classes and workshops there. He took diction classes as well. He was offered by Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez to teach her diction and dialect, however, due to his busy schedule he couldn’t make time. He never wanted to act in TV, in just happened. His aim was to work in movies. ‘Gulaab Gang’ is only the starting for him in silver screen. There is no doubt that such a hardworking and confident person like him will go further up his career very soon.


Syed Shabahat Ali

Hailing from Kanpur, Syed Shabahat Ali is a popular actor in the TV industry. Before making his debut in acting, Syed was a popular face in many TV advertisements. Syed came from a conservative family and had no filmy background. Syed was a student of Jagannath Institute of Management Studies located in South Delhi. He was a part of the Mass Communication department in this college. Syed keeps visiting his college to meet his teachers and to motivate students by sharing his tales and experiences with them. Coming from a non-filmy background, Syed has managed to make his presence known in the industry. Syed held a degree in filmmaking. Before stepping into the industry, Syed was a part of the theater group, The Creative Factory, while he was in college. Performing with this theater group for almost three years instilled confidence in him and made him learn several life skills and acting skills required to become a professional actor. According to him, theater helped him evolve and grow as a better person by developing certain emotions and patience within him. Syed then decided to go to Mumbai to become an actor and a director. Syed began his acting journey by doing the advertisement, Google Reunion. He played the character of Ali, the grandson of Yusuf in this commercial. Syed worked in several other advertisements also. Syed went ahead to act in a few TV serials on channel V including Humse Hai Life, Dil Dosti Dance and Season 2 of Gumraah. Syed played the role of Akash in the serial, Humse Hai Life. Akash’s character was that of a comical one and his name on the show was ‘Wadda Bro.’ Akash was a Sardaar and had a brother Ambar whom he called ‘Nikka Bro.’ In Gumraah Season 2; he worked with many well-known actors of TV industry including Yatharth Agnihotri and Delzad Hiravali. Not only an actor, but he also worked as an assistant director for the company, Yash Raj Films. Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Mujhse Fraandship Karoge and, Luv Ka the End are the movies on which Syed served as an assistant casting director. Syed migrated to Mumbai just to pursue his ambitions of becoming a well-known director. Syed also worked at the production company, BIG Synergy, at the post of a contestant coordinator. Syed also appeared in an episode of horror TV program, Aahat and a TV series, Yeh Hai Aashiqui. Syed has also tried his hands at directing a few short movies and also has the knowledge of Hindustani Classical music. Syed knows how to play instruments and is a good sketcher also. Syed comes across as a multi-talented personality and looks forward to both acting and directing.
