Toru Ohira is an American voice artist who has worked in several Hollywood movies, series, and video games. He was born on 24th September 1929 in Tokyo, Japan. He did his high schooling at Jōnan Senior High School and his graduation from Tokyo Metropolitan University and Meiji University Department of Political Science and Economics. After completing his graduation studies he started working in companies like Nippon Broadcasting System and Tokyo Broadcasting System. In the year 1958, he decided to become a voice artist and left his job to dedicate his time and effort to it.
In the Star War series, he gave the voice to the character Darth Vader which was remarkable in his career. His filmography includes Oraa Guzura Dado, Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, Mirai Keisatsu Urashiman, A Little Snow Fairy Sugar, and Fresh PreCure! His theatre works include Doraemon: Nobita and the Winged Braves, Doraemon: Nobita in the Wan-Nyan Spacetime Odyssey, and Lupin III: The Mystery of Mamo. He has also worked in several video games, such as Stupid Invaders, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes, and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
