Virginia Capers is one of the most legendary names in the history of African - American actor heritages of the USA. Born in Sumter, South Carolina on 22nd September 1925, Virginia is an actress who used to star in Hollywood films, TV series and she also did some of the most important and popular Broadway and theatre plays. Virginia made her acting debut straight on Broadway back in 1957 on the musical show Jamaica. 4 years later, Virginia made her debut on TV with Have Gun Will Travel. A year later in 1962 she also made her debut on the silver screen with House Of Women, a quintessential film about a girl who is wrongly accused of a crime and sets out to get justice. Over her career, Virginia went on to win numerous awards for her acting and also the work she did for Black Americans in Hollywood. She passed away on 6th May 2004 in Los Angeles.
