She is the discovery of Frank DiLeo, Michael Jackson's long-time manager. Later, she associated herself with American music industry's highest caliber management.
She is a well-known singer, songwriter, and rapper who got inspiration from veteran singers like Avril Lavigne, Pink, and Alanis Morissette. In her vocal range, she can bring a unique fusion of mixed heritage that includes Filipino, Japanese, Chinese, Malaysian and Spanish.
She is able to do this as a part of her intelligence, wit and tons of emotional creativity. She won three consecutive times the "Outstanding Performance Award" at the National Performing Arts Festival in New York City.
At the age of 15, she proved her unique talent in writing by publishing a children fictional book titled "The Exciting Adventures of Boo," and donated the sale margin of the book for a noble cause. The donation was used for Nevada SPCA animal shelter.
This singer also pays a frequent visit to cancer hospitals which is a part of her philanthropic works. She will continue in her social goals even if her singing career takes off well. As a child, she taught herself to play the piano and guitar, and when she turned 17, Manika graduated from Henderson International School in Henderson, Nevada.
