Before she started acting in television, she had played various dramas, and she had limited he acting to the theater alone for two years since 1992. After she was confident with her own acting skills, she began to apply for auditions in movies and eventually got a part in the 1994 movie- ‘Brain Scan’.

Brain Scan was a horror- Science fiction film, and Amy plays the lead female role in the film. The film deals with a rich teenager who finds out that his video game actually had the ability to control his actions in real life, and it even forces him to commit a lot of murders. Amy plays the role of a typical ‘girl next door’ in the film.

The film was an enormous success at the box office, and it provided her with a lot of exposure to the media. In the subsequent years, Amy committed herself to a lot of works such as television series and even short films, apart from appearing in supporting roles in many movies.’Ride for Your Life’ was her first short film.
