Phyllis is an actor of American ethnicity. She was born on 10th July 1951 in St. Louis Missouri, US. She completed her education at the University of Missouri, St. Louis. In the 70s and the 80s, she was famous as a cheerleader for the St. Louis Cardinals Football team. She quit dancing due to a knee injury and ventured into Hollywood, California as an actress. She started off as a casting associate and later was offered the role of Phyllis Vanca in The Office, a Television series.

Her role demanded a soft-spoken sales girl who disagrees with her manager. Her debut in the films was in The 40 Year Old Virgin followed by many other flicks and a supporting role in the flick, Bad Teacher as Linn.
