Lainie Kazan is an American onscreen actress and music artist. She was born in Brooklyn as Lanie Levine. She is the daughter of Ben Levine and Carole Levine. Her father, Ben, worked as a bookie. She did her high school studies from Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, and her graduation from Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY.
