This funny and gorgeous American actress and singer were born on 24th July 1968 with credits belonging to musical theatre, films and television. She is the adopted daughter of Jerry Moris Chenoweth and Junie Smith Chenoweth in Oklahoma and was named Kristi Dawn Chenoweth. As a child, she was actively part of her church’s Gospel songs. A performing highlight is when she performed the gospel “Four feet eleven,” which goes like ‘I am only four feet eleven, but I’m going to heaven.” at the age of 12. The irony is that she is currently the height of 4’11”. She completed her graduation from Broken Arrow Senior High School and her Alma matter was from Oklahoma City University. In 1990, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in musical theatre and her master's in opera performance in the year 1992. While pursuing her degree, she took part in many beauty pageants and bagged the title of “Miss OCU” and the second runner-up in 1991 at the Miss Oklahoma Pageant. Her performances in the theatre while her graduation includes June in Gypsy, Fran in “Promises, Promises” Liesl in The Sound of Music and Tuptim in The King and I. Besides her passion for theatre, her singing abilities were also amazing. She participated in a studio recording called The Most Happy Fella in 1992.
She was named “The most promising and upcoming singer” at the Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions. She also got accredited with many scholarships for this very purpose. She was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Performing Arts in the year 2009. In Oklahoma City University, she was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree in 2013. In 2010, she was welcomed into the prestigious Oklahoma Hall of Fame. In 2011, she also gracefully received the GLAAD Vanguard Award. In 2012, the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Centre named its theatre after her. They called it The Kristin Chenoweth Theatre.
She also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the year 2015. Her remarkable appearances in the film are as Maria Kelly in the 2005 film Bewitched, The Pink Panther in 2006 as Cherie, Deck the Halls in 2006, Hit and Run in 2012 and The Boy Next Door in 2015. She is currently filming the movie Class rank, and lending her voice to another movie My Little Pony, which is due in 2017.
