Kristin Landen Davis, born on 23rd February 1965 in Boulder, Colorado, is an American actress and the adopted bundle of joy of Keith Davis (stepfather), a professor and Dorothy Davis (biological mother), a data analyst. She wanted to be an actress at the age of 9 when she starred in a community theatre performance called “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” She graduated from AC Flora High School in the year 1983. She later attended Rutgers University in New Jersey, from where she acquired her BFA degree in Acting in the year 1987. She has never married and has adopted a daughter and named her Gemma Rose Davis on October 7th, 2011. She has been an ambassador for Oxfam since 2004. Her well-known roles include that of Brooke Armstrong in Melrose Palace, and her famous role in HBO’s hit television drama Sex and the City as Charlotte York, for which she got nominated for an Emmy Award.

Her remarkable appearances in films include The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 2005, Nine Months in 1995, Deck the Halls as Kelly Finch in 2006 and Couples Retreat in 2009. Davis is a Maybelline spokesperson who made guest appearances on popular television shows like Friends in 1994 and Seinfeld in 1989. She got nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Television Movie “Of Two Minds” in 2012 at the Women’s Image Network Awards. She is the adopted daughter of Jerry Moris Chenoweth and Junie Smith Chenoweth in Oklahoma and was named Kristi Dawn Chenoweth. As a child, she was actively part of her church’s Gospel songs. A performing highlight is when she performed the gospel “Four feet eleven,” which goes like ‘I am only four feet eleven, but I’m going to heaven.” at the age of 12. The irony is that she is currently the height of 4’11”. She completed her graduation from Broken Arrow Senior High School and her Alma matter was from Oklahoma City University. In 1990, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in musical theatre and her master's in opera performance in the year 1992. The role she did in The Closer won her a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. Born in New York City, Kyra’s Mother was a Speech teacher as well as an educational/family therapist and her father was a venture capitalist. Although her parents parted ways when she was mere four years old and eventually got a divorce when she was 6, and her mother got married to Ben Heller.
