She spent most of her childhood there. She received a lot of modelling offers ever since she turned 9. She knew she wanted to make it big in the entertainment industry but her parents believed in the foundation of good education. So, they moved to Long Island just before the last year of her junior high school. She graduated from Long Island University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. She also has a minor in French.

Three years after graduating college, she relocated to Los Angeles to indulge in her career as an actress. She got a role in Beverly Hills, 90210 as Lucinda Nicholson. Soon after that, she was cast in two main roles in two different movies: Jane in Johnny Mnemonic and Kara in Dragonheart.

In 1997, she appeared in the movie, Starship Troopers as Dizzy Flores. The same year, she was cast as a recurring guest star in the hit sitcom, Friends. She played the role of Kate Miller, Joey Tribbiani’s love interest for three episodes.
