Caterina Murino, who was born in Cagilari, Sardinia in Italy on 15th of September, 1977 is an Italian Actress. Before her inclination towards theater and acting she aspired to become a doctor. It was only when she was denied admission into school did she shift her interests into pageantry.
However, she never was really satisfied with modelling. She used to save up money in order to watch theatre in England as it was her one and only love.Â
She bagged the fourth position in Miss Italy Beauty Pageant in 1996. She then went to Milan and did televisions commercials for companies like Nescafe, Mastercard, and Mercedes Benz etc.Â
From 1999 to 2000, she went to Scula Di Cinema e Teatro di Franseca de Sapio (Italy) to study drama.
She made her debut appearance in Richard III which was a stage show and was also seen in many other plays in Italian language.Â
It was when she was placed alongside
Jean Reno
for a French movie L'enquête corse (2014) that she saw her breakthrough.
She became an internationally acknowledged actress only after her role of Solange Dimitrios, in James Bond's movie Casino Royale which was released in 2006.Â
In 2011, she was paired with Rufus Swell in Zen presented by BBC One. It was a TV show based on a series of detective novels which were written by Michael Dibdin.Â
Caterina was also seen playing Penelope, Odysseus' wife in Odysseus which was a TV production, in 2013.
She is multilingual. She is fluent in French and English other than her native language, Italian. She is multi-talented. Murino is a great athlete, loves singing, and she can also dance flamenco, tango etc. She also knows kick-boxing.Â
 She married Pierre Rabadan who is a French International Rugby union player. He plays rugby for Stade Francais.
