Catherine Lisa Bell was born in August 14, 1968 to Mina and Peter Bell in London. She is an American actress-producer. Her mother is Persian whereas her father is Scottish. Mina and Peter got divorced when Catherine was 2 years of age. She shifted with her mother to Iran and then she moved to United States.
She was to study Biology in UCLA before she decided to drop out and become a model.Â
Her first job was in Japan which was a modelling assignment. After four months of this job, she came back and went to Beverly Hills Playhouse to pursue her studies in acting. She also worked as a massage therapist.
She first made her appearance in Sugar and Spice (1990) which was a TV production.
She then came in the movie Death Becomes Her in 1992, where she worked as Isabella Rossellini's body double.Â
From 1996 to 2005, she had her appearance made in JAG, a TV series, where she played the role of Sarah MacKenzie.
She essayed the role of Denise Sherwood in the movie Army wives which was a Lifetime's presentation.
She was the executive producer of The Good Witch series, a presentation by Hallmark. She also essayed the main character of Cassandra Nightingale in the movie in 2007.Â
Catherine won a nomination of the Saturn Awards for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the movie The Triangle.
She is fluent in two languages namely Persian and English. She loves doing adventure sports like skiing, riding motorcycles and kickboxing.
She met his future husband Adam Beason on the sets of Death Becomes Her. Adam Beason is an actor and a production assistant. They got married in May 8, 1994. They have a daughter and a son. They divorced and ended their relationship in the year 2011.
